Diana Hayden Biography
An Anglo Indian from Hyderabad, Diana Hayden was born and brought up at Secunderabad and attended St. Ann's High School there. Her family split up at a very young age, and her mother and brother moved to Bombay with her, while her father stayed back at Hyderabad. As a teenager, she was a tomboy, tall and gangly (she was 5.9 feet 13 yrs). She graduated from Osmania University hin English by correspondence.
Diana Hayden, the ravishing beauty walked away with the Femina Miss India, title and then swept the world off its feet by a repeat performance for India, of winning Miss World 1997. As Miss World, she became the name and face for L'Oreal and ambassador for CRY (Child Relief and You). And she has put India firmly on the world beauty map :: as a country that not only produces Mother Teresas but lovely Dianas as well.
She entered Bollywood with a minute role in 'Tehzeeb' (2003), followed by 'Ab Bas' (2004). Diana loves to play chess, horse riding, partying and driving people round the bend.
She then moved to Bangalore, and later to Bombay and earned her living by doing odd jobs, small time modeling, managing fashion shows, working her way through her studies without assistance from home. This made her a very independent and confident woman. Her break was her job with BMG, where she managed artists like Anaida and Mehnaz. It was Anaida who forced her to send her pictures for the Miss India Contest. She went on to win the Miss World Contest held at Seychelles in 1997.
She is the only Miss World to have won a hat-trick at the event (Miss Photogenic, Miss Beach-wear/swimsuite competition, Miss World 1997)
